After you cracked the puzzle in the image the mortal sent, you found the location of a barn,
where they were to show a transcript of the Bood of Nod to their friend.
From the outside, the barn was quite ordinary, though old and decrepit.
It was completely dark inside, and no sign of the mortal you were supposed to meet.
But you could see a small workbench against one of the wall, where a small lamp cast a dim light.
There you found it. The transcript. Sitting there, on the workbench.
You read it, and noticed it was merely photocopy of a single page, translated into english, of the antique book.
Absorbed by your reading, it's only when you finished the last sentence of the page that you noticed the smell of gas,
and a disctinct 'click' that triggered your beast senses.
The fragment is now lost, ashes among those of the barn, torched down.
You won't have to deal with the archivists, mad that you lost the fragment.
Not with the other Kindred, pissed that you let go a mortal with so much informations about our society.
You actually won't have to deal with anything, as a wooden beam fell on you before you could leave the barn,
trapping you inside, turning you into ashes as well.
